Your hearing aids, back to working the way they should.
A malfunctioning hearing aid can disrupt everything you've worked to improve with your hearing. At Kun Hearing, we assess what's wrong, handle what can be resolved in-office the same day, and arrange manufacturer repairs for anything more involved, with verification afterward to confirm your hearing aids are performing correctly before you leave.

- Step 1
Assessment & inspection
We start with a thorough conversation about what's happening: when the issue started, whether it came on suddenly or gradually, and how it's affecting your hearing. We then inspect the hearing aids and use Electroacoustic Analysis to identify any performance issues that aren't visible to the eye.
- Step 2
In-office repair & cleaning
Many hearing aid problems can be resolved on the spot. We address issues like wax buildup, clogged microphone ports, clogged wax guards, damaged tubing or domes, and weak or non-functioning receivers in-office during your visit.
Same-day service for most common repairs - Step 3
Manufacturer repair when needed
For internal damage or issues beyond in-office repair, we arrange service directly with the manufacturer. We'll explain what needs to be done, what to expect in terms of timing and cost, and what your options are while the repair is underway.
- Step 4
Post-repair verification
After any repair, we perform Electroacoustic Analysis to confirm your hearing aids are back to performing at specification. Real Ear Measurement isn't performed after every repair, but if reprogramming is involved, we use it to re-verify your settings for your specific ear before you leave.
EAA after every repair
Your repair visit, start to finish.
We work through a methodical process so nothing is overlooked, and you leave with confirmation that your hearing aids are working correctly.
Repairs done right include checking that your hearing aids actually perform.
A lot of hearing aid repairs stop at the fix itself, with no check afterward to confirm the device is performing the way it should. At Kun Hearing, every repair is followed by Electroacoustic Analysis, the same performance test used at your original fitting, so you have objective confirmation your hearing aids are back to where they need to be.
Whether the issue is a simple cleaning, a component replacement, or a manufacturer repair, the standard is the same: your hearing aids should leave the appointment performing correctly, not just looking fixed.

Frequently asked questions
Still have questions? Call us at (626) 820-9116 or send a message, and we reply the same day.
Common in-office repairs include professional cleaning, wax guard and filter replacement, dome and tubing replacement, receiver replacements, and troubleshooting connectivity or program issues. We'll assess your hearing aids and let you know right away what can be handled the same day.
In-office repairs are typically completed during your visit. Manufacturer repairs depend on the extent of the issue and the provider's current turnaround time, which we'll give you a realistic estimate for before the hearing aids are sent.
Only if your hearing has changed. If it hasn't, we save your existing settings and re-load them onto the devices after the repair, so nothing needs to be reprogrammed. If your hearing has changed, we'll update the programming and verify it with Real Ear Measurement.
If your hearing aids are under manufacturer warranty, repairs may be covered at no cost. We'll check your warranty status and handle the repair process with the manufacturer on your behalf.
We're happy to work with hearing aids from other clinics. We can't service aids bought online, over-the-counter (OTC) devices, brands we don't work with, or devices that were issued through insurance to someone else and then passed along to the person now wearing them. For anything we can't complete in-office, we'll coordinate a manufacturer repair on your behalf.
